Read Construction is pleased to confirm that Nightingale House Hospice has been selected as our Charity of the Year for 2026, following a company-wide vote by our employees
Nightingale House Hospice is a charity we know well and continue to support on a regular basis. Based in Wrexham, the hospice provides specialist palliative care to patients and their families across North Wales, offering vital support, compassion and dignity at some of life’s most challenging moments. We are pleased to be continuing our partnership with such an important local organisation.
As a business rooted in the communities in which we work, Read Construction is committed to supporting causes that make a meaningful difference locally. Our teams have previously supported Nightingale House Hospice through fundraising activities, volunteering initiatives and project-based support and we look forward to building on this relationship throughout 2026.
Commenting on the news, Kara Lindsay, Corporate Partnerships Officer at Nightingale House Hospice, said:
“We are absolutely thrilled to have been selected as Read Construction’s Charity of the Year. Our heartfelt thanks go to every member of the team for nominating us – your support means more than you know.
Nightingale House Hospice is a truly special place and we could not continue providing specialist palliative care to our community without the generosity and commitment of partners like Read Construction. Your belief in our work helps ensure that patients and their families receive the compassion, dignity and support they deserve at some of the most challenging times in their lives.
We are incredibly grateful for this partnership and look forward to working closely with you throughout the year to make a meaningful difference together.”
Throughout 2026, our teams will be supporting Nightingale House Hospice through a programme of fundraising, volunteering and awareness‑raising activities, helping to contribute to the continuation of the hospice’s essential services for the local community.
