Read Construction is thrilled to announce that we have been named the winner of the Climate Action Award at the Constructing Excellence Wales Awards 2025, held at the Celtic Manor Resort.

This prestigious award recognises organisations leading the way in delivering meaningful environmental change within the built environment. The judging panel commended Read’s commitment to whole-life sustainability, innovation in low-carbon construction, and the practical application of circular economy principles across our projects.

At Read, we recognise the critical role our industry plays in addressing the climate crisis. Our approach is driven by a deep-rooted commitment to minimising environmental impact while delivering high-quality, future-ready built assets. We continue to prioritise modern methods of construction (MMC), invest in zero-emission plant readiness, and adopt data-led strategies to measure and reduce carbon throughout the project lifecycle.

Winning the Climate Action Award is a testament to the collective efforts of our team and supply chain partners, whose collaboration, innovation and shared values are helping to shape a more sustainable future for construction in Wales and beyond.

We are honoured to represent Wales as a regional winner and look forward to attending the Constructing Excellence National Finals in November 2025, where we will showcase our work on the UK stage.
