Local businesses are invited to attend a virtual Meet the Buyer event for two upcoming community projects in Telford: the Dawley Leisure Centre scheme and the new Lawley Community Building project.
Read Construction is hosting the online session via Microsoft Teams on 22nd July, providing an opportunity to connect with our project team and explore opportunities to contribute to these significant developments for the local community.
The £15 million Dawley Leisure Centre scheme will deliver a modern, inclusive and sustainable leisure centre adjacent to The Telford Langley School. Once complete, the facility will include a 25-metre, five-lane swimming pool with a movable floor, fitness suite, activity studio, family changing facilities and improved sports infrastructure for both the school and the wider community. The project is designed to support healthier lifestyles, increase access to leisure facilities and provide a lasting community asset for Dawley and the surrounding area.
Alongside this project, Read Construction has also been appointed to deliver the new Lawley Community Building, a much-needed facility that will provide flexible community spaces and enhanced amenities for local residents. The development will create a central hub for community activities, bringing together a range of services and functions to support the growing Lawley area.
Read Construction is committed to maximising local economic benefits through both projects and is particularly keen to engage with businesses based in Telford and Wrekin and the surrounding region. The event will provide an opportunity for companies to introduce their services, discuss their capabilities and learn more about upcoming procurement opportunities across both schemes.
