Summary:

One of five projects secured by Read as part of Glanbia Cheese’s 4 year, £7m investment plan to remain at the forefront of Cheese production was the construction of a new Amenity building.

CONSIDERATE – The production facility remained fully operational throughout the construction period with efficiency sustaining zero adverse impact. Works internally were planned around the annual summer plant shutdown when additional resources were programmed to deliver maximum construction works during the client shutdown period. This efficient and collaborative programming ensured the project was completed on programme with ZERO adverse impact on the client’s primary business activity.

EFFECTIVE PLANNING – Logistic planning of the construction traffic around the delivery and staff traffic movements and peak times was an essential element of the effective site delivery that led to a successful working relationship. Through close liaison and regular sharing of programmes and planning schedules, all traffic and pedestrian movements in and around the production facility were fully considered and managed throughout the construction period.
