Summary:
The first project delivered through the HELP (Helicopter Emergency Landing Pads) Appeal, this small works project enabled an enhanced service to be operated from the existing hospital through the provision of a new landing pad and covered smooth walkway to the hospital entrance.
QUALITY – With the client site housing the Midlands Centre for Spinal Injuries, the provision of a well-lit, covered smooth access to ensure a smooth transition from the helicopter to hospital was essential. Read’s management team, who engaged local supply chain members for the specialist work elements, oversaw quality control and ensuring delivery of all works within strict tolerances.
END USER FOCUS – The re-design of adjacent access road, car parking provision and footpaths was successfully undertaken whilst full access to the site was maintained for the ongoing provision of client services.
