Synopsis
Project name: Horatio's Garden, RJAH Orthopaedic Hospital
Contract: JCT IFC with Contractor Design 2016
Value: £683,500
Duration: 26 weeks
Summary:
Working with the Horatio Garden national charity, this scheme involved the repurposing of a disused are of the hospital campus to form a new garden space at the Midland Centre for Spinal Injuries at the Robert Jones and Agnus Hunt hospital, Owestry.
I found the overall attitude and responsiveness of the Read team whilst on site to be excellent. Communications through the monthly site meetings was good and was also effective in the interim periods. The level of engagement between contracted staff and Spinal Injury Unit staff and patients was excellent. The overall finish to the project was of an exceptionally high standard.
