New construction of a 12 bed BREEAM Very Good, LABC Building Excellence Award winning renal unit at the Victoria Memorial Hospital, Welshpool.
EFFICIENT – The aspiration for low running costs was a key driver for the NHS stakeholders. Designed and delivered to BREEAM “”Very Good””, the Mechanical and Electrical systems were installed to a higher specification to achieve an “”Excellent”” rating. By ensuring supply chain partners integrated with the design professionals throughout, the Mechanical and Electrical systems were designed and installed to complement one another, managed by a sophisticated electronic Building Management System (BMS).
LIVE ENVIRONMENT – Delivering construction projects amidst a busy live hospital environment presents many challenges regarding logistics, planning, public safety and patient / staff safeguarding. By adequately resourcing projects with professional site management teams, Read ensure that the planning process involves all stakeholders and is effectively communicated which resulted in ZERO complaints of disruption to staff, visitors or patients. .
