Summary:
Delivered under an NEC 3 contract, this waste recycling facility education centre was completed on time and budget as a package of works within another Principal Contractor site.
COOPERATIVE – Having been appointed to deliver one structure within the confines of a much larger construction project for North Midland Construction, Read proactively engaged in the logistical and safety planning challenges presented by the multi Principal Contractor arrangement. Taking account of client ongoing logistical plans and safety arrangements is usual practice for Read delivery teams working on occupied sites – the collaborative and engaging arrangement resulted in ZERO negative impact or delays to either main contractor operations.
PROMPT – Construction of a two storey office, admin and education facility as part of a major scheme to provide a range of recycling facilities at the site on Wrexham Industrial Estate. This timber framed building serves as an educational area, where visitors are able to observe the recycling processes and was completed two weeks ahead of the contract period.

I have worked with Read for over 10 years on numerous projects. They are probably one of the best contractors I have been involved with. They are honest, straightforward and trustworthy. The quality of their work is excellent and I enjoy the collaborative way in which we work together.
This has been the case on all the projects in which we have been involved including the Waste Recycling Centre office building at Wrexham Industrial Estate. This was a complicated build in the middle of a large infrastructure project with different contractors overlapping. The programme was very tight but Read delivered on time to the highest standard – the air permeability test on the finished building achieved the best results I have seen.
The owners were delighted with their new facility. I have no hesitation in recommending Read to other clients.
