Summary:
Continuing our long term and immensely successful working relationship with Wrexham County Borough Council, this BREEAM ‘Excellent’ project delivered to the governors, staff and pupils excellent leading edge accommodation.
CONSISTENT – The latest scheme in our continued long term successful working relationship with Wrexham County Borough Council, saw the provision of this BREEAM ‘Excellent’ leading edge Science teaching facility within the existing live school campus. All stakeholders on this second refurbishment phase to the existing school facility, developed a considerate and effective working dialogue, embracing the challenges and supporting each other throughout.
LOCAL – Read collaboratively engaged the key supply chain partners to identify and target the appointment of local SME organisations. This strategy, coupled with their early engagement resulted in 65% of the project labour from within a 20 mile radius of site.
CONSIDERATE – Read regularly engage the Considerate Constructor Scheme on projects to ensure the work practices are safe, fair, equitable and sustainable in terms of people, planet and profit — the core of Read’s sustainability policy.
