Read Construction continues to demonstrate its dedication to promoting career opportunities in the built environment to young women.

Promoting equality and diversity in the industry is key to the company’s mission, addressing the low percentage of women in the sector.

Read recently hosted a site visit and activity session as part of Coleg Llandrillo Menai’s Girls into Construction event.

The visit, aimed at encouraging young girls to consider careers in construction, included a ‘myth busting’ workshop and a tour of a live new primary school site.

The workshop introduced the students to the diverse range of careers in the industry, in an attempt to open their minds to the opportunities available in the sector.

“Read were delighted to support Coleg Llandrillo Menai’s Girls in Construction event,” commented Karen Heaton, Director.

“Supporting events like this, we aim to inspire young females to consider a career in the built environment and help them understand the wide range of opportunities available within construction”.
